In the heart of New York City’s experimental scene, Ecce Shnak (pronounced Eh-kay sh-knock) has carved out a reputation for "high-wire" performance, their music a volatile yet meticulously crafted ecosystem, where technical precision meets a sense of inspired mayhem. This quintet of David Roush (composer/bass/vocals), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn (drums) draws from a vast internal library of influences ranging from ranging from avant-garde classical and complex math-metal to the clever intersection of post-punk, no wave and indie pop.
The band is currently riding the momentum of a massive 2025, anchored by the release of their "Shadows Grow Fangs" EP, involving a heavyweight production team and received to critical acclaim. Mixed by Nicholas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, The War on Drugs) and recorded by Jeff Lucci, it was mastered by Grammy-winner Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, The Weeknd). This output was bolstered by their live "Backroom Sessions" EP and a foray into the dance world with club anthems like "Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy (Kill Em Mix)" with top German DJ Eskei83 and the "Prayer On Love (Madison Mars Remix)."
Ecce Shnak’s reach extends far beyond the studio. After a successful U.S. tour supporting platinum-selling legends Spacehog and EMF, the band collaborated on EMF’s single "LGBTQ+ Lover", an indie-dance anthem celebrating the queer community. Looking forward, the group moves toward their next full-length album "Dandy Variances", coming later this year via Records, Man Records, ever and always with fantastic surprises up their sleeve along the way.
