Venue information

Ludlow Castle is in Ludlow, Shropshire, and is a historic Norman fortress that has become one of the region’s most distinctive open-air venues. With origins dating back to the 11th century, the castle’s atmospheric setting and rich heritage provide a dramatic backdrop for modern events.

Today, Ludlow Castle is a key cultural destination, hosting an array of live music, theatre, and festivals within its grounds. Highlights include the acclaimed Ludlow Food Festival, open-air Shakespeare productions, and concerts that make use of the castle’s unique acoustics and historic atmosphere. Terrain


Ludlow Castle is an outdoor greenfield site set in stunning medieval grandeur. Attendees will need to travel across grassy terrain to access the viewing platforms and all other areas of the event. Should we experience rain in the run-up to the events or on the day of events the terrain could become muddy and harder to navigate, please come prepared for such conditions.
Under 14s accompanied by an adult 18+. No children 5 or under.

• Premium Hang Out Area located in the Historic Inner Bailey with Private bar products and food offerings (Please note this area does not have a stage view)

The ground in the inner bailey is of varying levels and can be difficult to navigate, therefore these tickets are NOT suitable for customers with mobility issues.
Premium Admission Please note that this a standing venue and no camping chairs, rugs, stools or other furniture will be permitted within the venue.

Green Parking • For customers travelling from south of Ludlow
• Location: Ludlow Rugby Club, The Linney – please follow event road signage upon approach rather than sat nav directions. (Please note that there is a steep walk up from this car park to the Castle which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues)
• Car Park Open: 2pm
• Car Park Closed: 11.30pm
• No overnight parking
